Day 2 - Madrid

Today we will begin with a city tour of Madrid, where we will see the active center, the beautiful Plaza Mayor, its large avenues and fountains. During the visit we will also take a walk through the beautiful Retiro Park, we will see its lake, the Crystal Palace. We also include admission to the Santiago Bernabéu football stadium, home stadium of Real Madrid, for many, the best club in the world. Free time in the afternoon. In the evening we will provide a transfer to the Plaza Mayor area.

Madrid -San Sebastian -Bordeaux

Day 3 - Madrid -San Sebastian -Bordeaux

After breakfast we will leave for the lands of Castile and the Basque Country. In SAN SEBASTIAN we can walk along La Concha beach and drink some wine in its old town. Free time for lunch. We continue to France. BORDEAUX, arrival in the evening. We suggest a walk through the city center.

Day 4 - Bordeaux -Chambord -Paris

Lands of wine and cognac take us to the Loire region. We visit CHAMBORD, probably the most spectacular castle in the Loire Valley (entrance to the park included). Free time for lunch. PARIS, arrival in the evening.

Paris

Day 5 - Paris

We come into contact with the history of France in the immense Palace of Versailles with its beautiful gardens. Admission included. After that, on our way back to Paris, we head to Montmartre, and take a cable car (included) to go up to this bohemian neighborhood known for its painters, artists and cabarets. To contemplate the beauty of the impressive avenues and monuments of Paris, you will have the city tour with a local guide. Return to the hotel. Optionally you can attend the variety show.


Very important note:
during the Olympics games dates, that will take place in Paris between July 23rd and August 11th, we cannot guarantee accommodation in this city and its very likely that the stay will be in a nearby location. In this case, Europamundo will offer the necessary transfers so that the services can be carried out and you can enjoy the city in the best possible way.

Paris - Rouen

Day 6 - Paris - Rouen

We go to the center of Paris, starting by the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket included). Then, we enjoy a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose.

At around 16.00hrs we will leave Paris for ROUEN a city museum with its houses with half-timbered walls, narrow streets and gothic churches. Accommodation in the city.
Note: in some cases the waits to go up the Eiffel Tower are long. Thus the climb may take place at a different time (or on Sunday), if it is considered convenient for organizational reasons.

Rouen -  Canterbury - London

Day 7 - Rouen - Canterbury - London

Today we will take a stroll in the center of Rouen to admire its magnificent cathedral and the ancient streets of the historic center. After this we travel to the north of France. Travelling by ferry, we will cross the English Channel to reach CANTERBURY, the religious capital of England with a very attractive historic center. Continuing to LONDON, arriving with time to explore, visit Tower Bridge to see it lit up and admire the modern buildings. Time for dinner in one of the many restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. After dinner, return to the hotel.

Day 8 - London

Get to know LONDON on a locally guided tour featuring style, cul­ture and history. See the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of Lon­don and Buckingham Palace, where we will be able to watch the famous “Changing of the Guard” (depending on the season). Afternoon at leisure. In the evening, we will take a walk through Leicester Square, China Town and Soho, with a lively atmosphere, theatres and entertainment. There are several restaurants to chose where you can dine. Return to the hotel.

Day 9 - London -Cambridge -York -Durham

We start the day leaving London towards northern England. Our first stop is CAMBRIDGE to admire its beautiful residential colleges. After lunch we will continue to YORK where its cathedral, Roman walls and lively shopping streets will create a charming memory, some free time to stroll around. Afterwards, we will continue north to DURHAM. Explore this charming medieval town full of life which has a wonderful cathedral right in front of the castle.

Durham -Alnwick -Edinburgh

Day 10 - Durham -Alnwick -Edinburgh

Today we will travel to Scotland, stopping in ALNWICK, a picturesque town with lovely gardens and a large medieval castle which was used in the Harry Potter films. We will continue to EDINBURGH, arriving in the afternoon. This is Scotland’s capital city and one of the most active cities in Northern Europe. Its monumental center has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its castle overlooks the city’s steep streets and parks. We will enjoy a sightseeing tour with a local guide.

Edinburgh -Pitlochry -Inverness -Loch Ness -Glasgow

Day 11 - Edinburgh -Pitlochry -Inverness -Loch Ness -Glasgow

We continue to enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Scottish Highlands with a coffee and stroll in PITLOCHRY, a charming little village. We will continue and pass by INVERNESS in the north of Scotland, a city located very near the mysterious LOCH NESS. After lunch we visit (entrance included) the URQUHART medieval castle, from here we will take a boat trip on the dark waters of the lake. Afterwards, we will pass through FORT AUGUST with its sluice gate system and FORT WILLIAM, the tourist center at the foot of Ben Nevis (the highest summit in the United Kingdom). We will return south through the high plateaus where it is possible to glimpse the snow before visiting Loch Lomond, one of the most popular lakes in Scotland. We arrive in GLASGOW at the end of the day. Short stroll around the city center and accommodation.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
Groups arriving in Edinburgh from November 15 until the end of February, due to the short duration of the days and frequent snow problems on the roads, will have the following stage:

Departure from Edinburgh to PITLOCHRY, a picturesque city in the center of the Scottish region, where the majority of whiskey is produced. We will visit a traditional whiskey distillery in the area (entrance included). We continue towards STIRLING, with an impressive historic center dominated by the great castle, one of the most important in Scotland having witnessed numerous historical events, including not only historical battles, but also the coronation of several of its kings. Reservation and tickets included. Time for lunch. After that we will make a stop to photograph The Kelpies, enormous sculptures of two horses with water heads from Scottish mythology. We continue to GLASGOW, time to walk through the city center and accommodation.
