Salida temprano de Madrid hacia Castilla. Efectuamos una breve parada en el Mirador de los 4 postes con su vista sobre las magnificas murallas de ÁVILA. Casi en la frontera con Portugal paramos en CIUDAD RODRIGO, un paseo para conocer su catedral, muralla y calles medievales. Continuamos hacia Portugal. OPORTO, llegada y visita panorámica de esta ciudad, la segunda en población de Portugal, conocida por sus vinos. Al final de la visita conocemos una bodega centenaria. Tiempo libre.

Nota: Si el número de pasajeros entre Madrid y Oporto es muy reducido podrá realizarse este tramo en avión, anulándose en este caso la parada en Ciudad Rodrigo.

DESTACAMOS HOY: Coimbra. Elevador de Nazaré. Obidos.

Viajamos hacia el sur. Tiempo en COIMBRA, la tercera ciudad de Portugal, con antigua Universidad y calles empinadas llenas de encanto. Tras ello paramos junto al Monasterio de Batalha, impresionante edificio medieval donde están enterrados reyes. Tiempo para almorzar y pasear en NAZARÉ, ciudad pesquera y balnearia. Incluimos el “elevador” que nos sube a la ciudad antigua con vistas impresionantes del Océano. Ya en ruta a Lisboa paramos en ÓBIDOS, uno de los pueblos más bonitos de Portugal, con sus calles blancas llenas de flores. LISBOA, llegada al final de la tarde.

DESTACAMOS HOY: Visita panorámica de Lisboa. Excursión incluida a Sintra, Cascais y Estoril. Traslado nocturno.

Por la mañana efectuamos visita panorámica de la ciudad durante la cual nos acercamos al barrio de Belem, desde donde salieron los grandes navegantes portugueses a surcar los océanos en el siglo XV. Por la tarde viajamos a Sintra con su microclima, e inmortalizada por Lord Byron, llena de palacios y residencias de verano. Continuamos por las famosas playas de Guincho, aquí podrá ver el punto más occidental de Europa, el Cabo de la Roca y pararemos en la bella ciudad de Cascais. A continuación breve parada en Estoril, con su famoso casino.

Por la noche incluimos un traslado a la Plaza de los Restauradores llena de ambiente con sus bares y cafés desde donde puede tomar el Elevador Da Gloria (no incluido) que conduce al barrio alto y su mirador.

Welcome to Rome! Upon arrival at the airport, we will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel. On the information posters you will find the information you need to meet your guide at the hotel. In the evening we will include a transfer to the Esquiline area. This neighborhood will be a good entrance to Rome, amidst the great basilicas and the Colosseum.

In the morning we will have a city tour that will become an introduction to “The Eternal City”. We include entry to the Imperial Forums, an impressive architectural complex made up of monumental buildings and squares, the center of political activity at the time. Later we will go to St. Peter´s Basilica of the Vatican, you will have free time to attend mass in the Vatican, if you wish. Free time in afternoon.

Free day. Today we suggest you do the optional trip to Napoli, Capri and Pompeii.

We travel to PISA, where we include a train from the parking lot to the monumental precinct, Piazza dei Miracoli, where the famous Leaning Tower is located. Free time for lunch. After lunch, we will travel to SANTA MARGHERITA DE LIGURE, where we will take the boat to PORTOFINO, one of the most exclusive places in Europe. There, you will have the chance of walking along the sea and enjoying your free time. Then, we will continue to GENOA. Its downtown recalls its history as a thriving republic in the Middle Ages.

Note: Sometimes, due to weather conditions, the boat to Portofino is not operating in winter. In these cases, more free time will be offered in Santa Margherita. If you wish, you can reach Portofino by public microbus (bear in mind that the quality of the service is quite unsatisfactory and the waiting times may be long).

Today, we discover one of Europe’s most beautiful landscapes: the Italian lakes, which lay in the valleys of the Alps. We will travel to LAKE ORTA. In ORTA DE SAN GIULIO, we will find a medieval city which has been preserved intact. We will include a train trip to the center of the medieval village and a boat to the SAN GIULIO ISLAND, which is home to a monastery. After that, we will proceed to MILAN, the main financial and economic center of Italy. We will have free time to visit the downtown, where we will visit Milan’s renowned cathedral and have lunch. Then, we will continue our trip along the Po Valley to VERONA. Arrival and free time for dinner.

In VERONA, we will have free time to explore the city of Romeo and Juliette. We will continue to VENICE; the arrival is expected at around 12h. We will include the transfer by boat to St. Mark’s Square, where we will be led by a local guide in a walking visit through the canals. You will be also able to admire the Murano glasswork. Free time for lunch; don’t miss your chance to ride one of the famous gondolas. Lodging in the Mestre area or nearby.

We leave following the Po Valley towards Switzerland. Today we will admire great scenic beauty entering the Alpine lakes region. LUGANO, time for a walk in the capital of the Italian-speaking Swiss canton, on the shore of the great lake. After lunch time we cross the Alps through the Gotthard tunnel. LUCERNE, arrival in the afternoon. We will make a stop next to the "Wounded Lion" and we will have time in this beautiful Swiss city on the shore of the lake of the four cantons. ZURICH, arrival in the evening, a walk along its lake.

We leave Zurich towards the French region of Alsace to visit its capital STRASBOURG, a charming city that combines French and German influences. Time to get to know the city. After that we continue our route towards PARIS, arriving at the end of the day.

We come into contact with the history of France in the immense Palace of Versailles with its beautiful gardens. Admission included. After that, on our way back to Paris, we head to Montmartre, and take a cable car (included) to go up to this bohemian neighborhood known for its painters, artists and cabarets. To contemplate the beauty of the impressive avenues and monuments of Paris, you will have the city tour with a local guide. Return to the hotel. Optionally you can attend the variety show.

Very important note: during the Olympics games dates, that will take place in Paris between July 23rd and August 11th, we cannot guarantee accommodation in this city and its very likely that the stay will be in a nearby location. In this case, Europamundo will offer the necessary transfers so that the services can be carried out and you can enjoy the city in the best possible way.

We go to the center of Paris, starting by the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to go up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket included). Then we enjoy a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose.
Note: in some cases the waits to go up the Eiffel Tower are long. Thus the climb may take place at a different time (or on Sunday), if it is considered convenient for organizational reasons.

Viajamos hacia el sur. En el valle del Loira paramos en BLOIS, pintoresca ciudad en la que recomendamos visitar su castillo. Parada en TOURS, la capital del Loira. Tiempo para almorzar. Continuación hacia BURDEOS, llegada a media tarde. Tiempo libre.

Salida de Burdeos. Paso al País Vasco. SAN SEBASTIAN, tiempo para pasear y almorzar en esta atractiva ciudad junto al mar. Continuación hacia Madrid. Llegada al final de la tarde.

Today we will begin with a city tour of Madrid, where we will see the active center, the beautiful Plaza Mayor, its large avenues and fountains. During the visit we will also take a walk through the beautiful Retiro Park, we will see its lake, the Crystal Palace. We also include admission to the Santiago Bernabéu football stadium, home stadium of Real Madrid, for many, the best club in the world. Free time in the afternoon. In the evening we will provide a transfer to the Plaza Mayor area.

Saldremos a histórica ciudad de TOLEDO, próxima a Madrid. Al llegar damos el tour exterior a la ciudad con magníficas vistas. Conoceremos también la elaboración de los damasquinados artesanía toledana. Almuerzo incluido. Regreso a Madrid y tarde libre.

Early departure from Madrid to Castilla. We make a brief stop at the Viewpoint of the 4 posts overlooking the magnificent walls of ÁVILA. Almost on the border with Portugal we make a stop in CIUDAD RODRIGO to take a walk to see its cathedral, wall and medieval streets. We continue towards Portugal. PORTO, arrival and accommodation. Sightseeing tour of this city, the second largest city in Portugal known for its wines. At the end of the city tour we will visit a century-old winery. Free time.

Note: If the number of passengers between Madrid and Porto is very small, this part can be done by plane, canceling in this case the stop in Ciudad Rodrigo.

We travel southward. Time in COIMBRA, the third city of Portugal with an old University and steep streets full of charm. After that we make a stop next to the Batalha Monastery, an impressive medieval building, where kings are buried. Time for lunch and a walk in NAZARÉ, a fishing town and seaside resort. We include the “elevator” that takes us up to the ancient city with impressive views of the Ocean. Already en route to Lisbon we make a stop in ÓBIDOS, one of the most beautiful towns in Portugal, with its white streets full of flowers. LISBON, arrival in the evening.

In the morning we will have a city tour, during which we will get to know the Portuguese capital of the 7 hills, the alleys and the tiles, the "saudade" and the Atlantic light. We will also approach the Belem neighborhood, from where the great Portuguese navigators, who crossed the oceans in the 15th century, left. Free time in the afternoon to walk and go to the Bairro Alto and its viewpoint; if you´d like to, you could take an optional excursion to the towns of Sintra, Cascais and Estoril. In the evening we return from the Restauradores Square, full of atmosphere with its bars and cafes, to the hotel.
