Re-creating the charm of the seaside village of Portofino Italy Universal's Loews Portofino Bay Hotel offers guests themed swimming pools excellent restaurants and an exclusive package of special theme park benefits. Universal's Loews Portofino features Italian-inspired architecture and canals leading to Universal's theme parks. Guests skip the lines at Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure hop aboard free water taxis connecting the property and Universal parks and get priority reservations at select resort restaurants. The resort's 750 luxurious rooms some overlooking the garden or bay feature marble trim rich textiles and elegant Italian furnishings. Pampering begins with waffle-comb bathrobes and plush beds boasting Sealy Posturepedic pillowtop mattresses down duvets and 300-thread-count cotton linens. High-tech perks include flat-panel HDTVs with premium cable and DVD players clock radios with iPod cables and Wi-Fi (for a fee in the rooms free in the lobby). There is a $25 extra charge per adult for triple and quad occupancy and pet-friendly rooms are available. Kids aged 17 and under stay free. Choose from the family pool with its sand beach huge fort and aqueduct-style waterslide the quieter villa pool or a lushly landscaped hillside pool. Enjoy nightly serenades from the balcony overlooking the piazza. There is also a kid's club a game room a luxury day spa and a fitness center (surcharges apply) plus gourmet Italian and kid-friendly dining a poolside bar and a gift shop. Parking is available for an additional fee. Shuttle service to the theme parks is complimentary. The resort is within walking distance of both Universal Studios Florida® and Universal's Islands of Adventure®. Wet 'n Wild® waterpark is 10 minutes away and SeaWorld® Orlando is 17 minutes away. Orlando International Airport is 12 miles from the property.

“One of our most favorite hotels to stay when we want to visit the Universal parks. Love the Italian feel the architecture is based on. Staff is very accommodating. Rooms are kinda outdated in my opinion but they’re spacious. We love that they’re pet friendly. We got to bring our dog and they gave him a bunch of cool gifts. The restaurants serve what you’d expect from an Italian themed resort; Italian food. 😊”

“What a unique gem! Who would think that within walking distance to a theme park one could find such luxury and theming of Italy.... I was blown away. It was so beautiful I couldn't stop taking photos. I really enjoyed not only the convenience but the BEAUTY of the walking path to the park. We also used the water taxi which was fun and convenient as well. Luckily I had scheduled a pool day for myself during my trip and the service and food poolside were excellent. I can't wait to go back.”
