Staff was very nice. Restaurant is over priced. I've stayed here a couple times in the summer during years passed. Apparently in the winter they shut off all the AC units. Not a problem, except for the rooms are like 80°. There is a sign next to the thermostat that says if you're too warm, shut off the heater and open the window. We did that. Problem though, the windows only open about 3", and the pressure inside the building is great enough all opening the window does is allow the even warmer hallway air to rush under the door and out the window. The air pressure was strong enough the door to the room wouldn't close without pulling on it. You could hear whistling sounds and feel the air rushing under the door only when the window was open. Each room has a box fan in the closet. So we opened the window, put the fan on the window ledge to try and pull air into the room. Stuffed a towel under the door to stop the warm hallway air coming in, and turned on the bathroom fan. All that, plus being a legit snow storm outside, and the room was only cooled down enough to be barely comfortable. With that the first night, and the bathroom sink drain leaking onto the floor, they did move us to enough room a floor above ours. It really did not help with the heat, but the sink at least worked properly. Staff was super nice about it and made everything painless, but still, the building has fundamental issues with heating and cooling that made for an almost impossible night of sleep, and they seem to know it with the signage and fans in each room. But without that being addressed, I'd avoid it during the winter months. UPDATE: Hilton responded and asked I fill out their form so they can investigate and make things right. If you've read this far, you can see I'm detailed. They had a delayed response and basically all they said was "Unfortunately, due to insufficient information, we were unable to determine from your message how we may be of assistance. I request you to elaborate your concern so that we can assist you with best possible resolution." I'm sorry, if you're a Customer Care Specialist and can't come up with any ideas how to assist after such a detailed message, that's disappointing.

Stayed in a suite room. Upon entering the thermostat was set to 72 degrees and the room was stifling hot, and you could not adjust the thermostat. We called down to the front desk and they told us to run the box fan in the closet. 200$ per night to sweat to death all night?? That is insane! Also, there were at least 30 people in the pool area because of a birthday party a child was having and only one family was a hotel guest. The pool area was filthy, the pool full of hair, garbage, and dirt. Disgusting. Will not be staying again until something is done about the heating and cooling system! Ridiculous! Update: the heat started getting to us around 11pm last night. While brushing my teeth I noticed my face was red as an apple! I called down and begged for a fan and he said they did not HAVE ANY!!!!! I tossed and turned all night having bad dreams about shriveling up in a desert. At one point I went to drink my glass of water on the bedside table and it was HOT!!!!!! My lips were chapped and throat swollen from the heat. I went to put on chapstick and my chapstick was MELTED!!!! This is some sort of torture hotel. Left at 5 in the morning with no regrets. Will not EVER BE RETURNING!!!!

The rooms are terribly hot. The HVAC system did not allow for the room to cool down. The hotel staff members told us to open a window in the middle of February. Even with the window open, the rooms were uncomfortably hot and it made it tough to sleep. Also, the common area bathrooms on the first floor or either locked or not able to be used. The only way to go to the bathroom would be to go back up to your room. The rooms are outdated and have not been updated for a long time. It looks as if they are doing remodeling on floors two through five. If they remodel the rooms and allow for better ventilation, so that the rooms can be cooled and also get all of the bathrooms working, then this hotel would be a good one. The hotel is located in a really great area with lots of good restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, the hotel experience is not a good one. I would find another hotel in this area to stay at.

Attempted to cancel within 24 hours due to entire family getting sick. I understand the 24 hour policy but they wanted me to cancel my room so they could double rent it if the chance.arrived with no refund. I told them not to cancel and someone would check in out of spite. If they find a replacement some level of reimbursement makes sense. If they can't, totally understand the 24 hour policy. Business is business.

Rooms are small and beds are out dated. No control of temperature in the unit. Staff was rude and unwelcoming. Pool and hot tub area not clean and not up to standards Not a good value for the price. Never staying at a double tree again
