My family have been coming here since I was a child. I am speaking from someone who stays at the condo property. Big beautiful hoses enough room for the big family. The kitchen is my favorite part of the house. The open patio is spacious for the family dinner. The side pool down the street is perfect for the little ones. The main pool on the property is a blast for everyone.

The best resort on the island. Being a Waldorf Astoria hotel, it lives up to the standard of the excellence it’s known for. The resort is very beautiful and has great rooms. Nice beds. The one thing that makes the place not appealing is the expensive buffet breakfast costing over $50 a person. We ate $20 worth of food and the total after tip and tax was $172. That was for 3 people. Depending on when you come, the beaches and pools can be over crowded and unpleasant. Also, get a deal on the price on the room and get a free upgrade and it makes the stay even better. Lastly, there is a chapel where weddings can be held. It’s very beautiful. Do check this place out.

As of this post, the hotel was in the process of some construction but was never intrusive or disruptive. The hotel is magnificent but the furnishings, while exceptionally clean and comfortable, showed their age a bit. That’s the only criticism I have of the hotel and they’re addressing it. Otherwise, it may be the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s near the Four Seasons which is also gorgeous, but the layout of the Grand Wailea is unmatched. It essentially hugs the beach and spills right out onto it. It is stunning. That’s the property. The staff absolutely lives up to the hotel’s beauty. I’ve never had such a warm and enjoyable experience with every single employee I had contact with. I had an absolutely wonderful experience and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful hotel. It’s great for kids and teens with the amount of water slides they have, and other activities like the Tarzan rope. They also have paddle boarding rentals you can do. It was on a beautiful property and the beach is great for boogie boarding, the sweet spot for boogie boarding is down south towards the four seasons near those rocks.We had an amazing room with a garden view, you really can’t get a bad room here. The hotel also had beautiful Hawaiian statues throughout, and did an amazing job embracing that Hawaiian culture in it. One of my concerns with going to this hotel was of how big it was, and my fear of it to feel not so Hawaiian, and almost feel fake if that makes sense. But I have zero regrets staying here, it was truly a great experience.

Pros: great location, amazing pool, great beach, great luau, great housekeeping.Cons: parts of it definitely need an upgrade and we dealt with a few different rude staff members. Right as we checked in, she let us know that we booked the room incorrectly so we did not have a connecting door between us and our small children. The Hotel website has no way to indicate this and she acted irritated with us for having to deal with it. Also, their great spa is completely under renovation so you’re paying the same amount with absolutely no amenities. Last, there’s no shuttle service to other places in Wailea from the hotel. Every other hotel we stayed at in that area provides this. The valet told us she could not help us because the drivers needed to drive the owners of the hotel around. Definitely made us feel much less important than them. When I reported this to management, I was told I would get a contact back and never did. Very disappointing. Prós: ótima localização, piscina incrível, ótima praia, ótimo luau, ótima arrumação.Contras: partes dele definitivamente precisam de uma atualização e lidamos com alguns funcionários rudes diferentes. Assim que fizemos o check-in, ela nos informou que reservamos o quarto incorretamente, para que não tivéssemos uma porta de conexão entre nós e nossos filhos pequenos. O site do Hotel não tem como indicar isso e ela agiu irritada conosco por ter que lidar com isso. Além disso, seu ótimo spa está completamente em reforma, então você está pagando o mesmo valor sem absolutamente nenhuma comodidade. Por último, não há serviço de transporte para outros lugares em Wailea do hotel. Todos os outros hotéis em que ficamos nessa área oferecem isso. O manobrista nos disse que ela não poderia nos ajudar porque os motoristas precisavam conduzir os proprietários do hotel ao redor. Definitivamente nos fez sentir muito menos importantes do que eles. This would be a 5 star review except for my experience at the pool rental. Staying here was a very expensive special treat that I booked based on the awesome pools. The property is gorgeous, rooms are beautiful, whole atmosphere is amazing. However, when my 10-yr old and I got down there, I asked about a cabana specifically for shade. I was told that cabanas weren't available but I could have a round bed with shade perfect for 2 people. I signed for it sight unseen based on the belief that if the staff person knew I wanted shade for myself and my child, it would have shade. $400 but no skin cancer for my red-headed kiddo is priceless. Refer to the photos for the shade given. Sitting hunched over at the back (no pillows), in my hat and towels, I was still getting burned. Right next to me were loads of open lounge chairs in full shade. I asked for a refund and was instead offered a different seating area with about an extra 2' of shade. I stated that that still put me and my child in the sun, so didn't work for us. I was told that I had no recourse and that they wouldn't provide a refund since we didn't cancel 7 days in advance despite having booked an hour previously. We went from thrilled to be in this special place to feeling cheated and taken advantage of.

The Grand Wailea is beautiful. It's set right on the beach with multiple water features accessible from around resort. There are family-friendly pools with a lazy river, water slides, and rope swings as well as an adult only pool with hot tubs, fountains, and swim-up bars. There are several restaurants that serve the most delicious freshly caught fish and the drinks at the bars that are notably photo worthy.The room we were in had two extremely comfortable queen beds, a single-sink bathroom with a separate shower and soak tub, and a picturesque patio with two seats and a footrest ready to watch the most colorful sunsets. Almost every room that I noticed had an ocean view except a few on the northern corner that face inward.There were activities (beach yoga, power cycling, a luau with a dance show, live music at the each restaurant, etc) that made this visit feel like I was living on a cloud. It was such a dreamy stay and I would highly recommend this resort for families with young kids, couples and newlyweds, and groups looking to relax with all necessitates ready at your whims. O Grand Wailea é lindo. Está situado na praia com vários recursos aquáticos acessíveis em todo o resort. Há piscinas para famílias com um rio lento, toboáguas e balanços de corda, bem como uma piscina apenas para adultos com banheiras de hidromassagem, fontes e bares aquáticos. Quase todos os quartos que notei tinham vista para o mar, exceto alguns no canto norte, voltados para dentro.Houve atividades (ioga de praia, ciclismo de força, um luau com show de dança, música ao vivo em cada restaurante, etc) que fizeram esta visita parecer que eu estava vivendo em uma nuvem. Foi uma estadia tão sonhadora e eu recomendo este resort para famílias com crianças pequenas, casais e recém-casados, e grupos que procuram relaxar com todas as necessidades prontas aos seus caprichos.

O serviço é de primeira qualidade e a maioria dos funcionários é muito simpática.Restaurantes, piscinas e serviço de praia são ótimos.Há muitas obras em andamento, mas isso não afeta sua estadia. Seus jardins são bem cuidados e você também pode passar algum tempo explorando-os.Planeje algum tempo para explorar o resort além das piscinas também.Adoramos a estadia e queremos voltar lá.

Hermoso lugar, la habitación impecable... la comida es muy costosa pero buen sabor. El único inconveniente es el cobro extra de 50 dólares diarios por el agua y limpieza de la habitación, de eso te enteras cuando te piden tu tarjeta para la garantía y ves que te cobran eso a diario como extra.

The location is terrific and the property is well maintained. This a resort that has premium pricing and "wholesale"/budget kind of service. There are exceptions, but the majority of employees do not seem to enjoy working there. Because of the resort's size, it is run like a factory and lacks a sense of sercice.

This used to be a 5! However, recently the level of service has left us wanting more. Lacks a personal level of pool side service one would expect for such a high end property! There are others nearby that are better suited if you seek a decadent level of service! This is a property good for kids though! Hence the 4!

Very beautiful experience. I’m not giving five stars because many pools close at five pm, which is too early. There is no a real cafeteria inside. No self parking but only valet. Pool services are perfect. Staff very kind and nice.

I can’t rave enough about this resort. The staff were absolutely incredible, rooms were comfy, spacious, and clean, the breakfast each morning was delicious and they offered several options, and there was so much to do! We booked this resort for our wedding stay in Maui and for our guests. We stayed a little over for our honeymoon as well. Each one of our 14 guests had nothing but wonderful things to say. They enjoyed the pool area with the slides, taking tours of the island, getting activity suggestions from the concierge, the free inclusive breakfast each morning, and the rooms. Also, Carol Suckow was a HUGE help to us throughout the planning process and our stay. Our travel agent was horrible and she stepped in wherever she could to help. Plus, she sent champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and treats to our suite for our wedding night! We are definitely looking forward to returning in a couple of years.

This was our 50th wedding anniversary trip and it could not have been better. The facilities were first rate with stunning landscaping and floral arrangements. Wide variety of very well prepared and delivered food. The staff was second to none - professional and absolutely dedicated to making your stay first rate. Kudos to them. We will be back.

First class experience. The hotel staff are first rate, unfailingly polite and helpful. The hotel is huge, with gorgeous views carefully designed into every space. They have an artistic motif front and center; statutes and paintings abound, with lighting fixtures and rotating platforms for some changing their entire presentation from day to night. It adds immeasurable beauty to the whole facility. Lights on the trees and tiki torches turn it into a visual wonderland at night, especially as the sun sets. Aside from that there are many shops and amenities available on-site. Multiple different pools and slides and a wet bar in one of the pools. Just be aware that prices are as expected for a hotel of this caliber. A can of beer will run you $10, cocktail $18. A beautiful sandy beach with yoga at dawn. I did that and found it truly inspiring. There's nothing like doing a pose, feeling your heart beating and seeing the first rays of dawn break over your shoulders on to that gorgeous panorama. I hope to return when we can. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Fantastic amenities throughout the whole resort and a beautiful location. Staff will cater to your every need and wants to make sure you have a great experience. Great shops. Ocean view rooms with balcony further enhance your experience. Food and Drink was a little pricy but that is standard for Maui. Resort fees were a little excessive as well as parking fees but again that is standard for many Maui hotels.

We were upgraded to the Napua tower suite; and it was amazing! All of the added amenities (breakfast, chocolate decadence hour, happy hour, etc.) were fantastic, and the staff was there to help us with everything! Definitely exceeded expectations. Having to get a new wristband each day was a little annoying, but there was not a long line, so it didn't disrupt our experience. I imagine when it gets very crowded it could get hard to find lawn chairs together.

El Grand Wailea es uno de los hoteles mas lindos en Wailea. Es un hotel muy grande con varias piletaa, restaurants, bares y un spa. El hotel esta ubicado al lado del mar así que la playa esta cerca. Los restaurants no son baratos pero la comida es buena.

The hotel was extremely beautiful. The grounds magnificent. The hotel layout, the grounds pools and access to the ocean There was not enough umbrella for guests. We paid a $30 per day fee and had to wait over an hour for an umbrella and beach chairs,. There were too few umbrellas in the pool areas as well. You couldn't buy a cup of coffee near the pools or ocean in the mornings without taking a 10 minute walk with the help of elevators to the cafe. They charged $30 a day to park(valet only) without options. There was no other place to park.
