Won't return. We just joined Hilton Honours prior to this visit, and are seriously questioning that choice. Hopefully our issues are unique to this (weirdly combined Hampton/Homewood) hotel. We were lied to 3 times about the cost of valet parking. While the room was fine, it was advertised as "lakeview" - yes, we saw a sliver of it, but nothing like the pictures online. Our reservation was for 3 people, but it was set up for 2 & we had to call numerous times to get linens, pillows, coffee etc for our daughter. Elevators took FOREVER in the morning. The toilet screamed (yes, screamed) every time we flushed it. Front desk staff was friendly & accomodating, but valet was not, actually thought I was lying to him about what I had been told 3x about the price of valet parking. Challenged me on where I'd heard it (twice over the phone, and the twice was because I didn't believe the price the first time, it seemed too good to be true. So I called back & confirmed.) and then when I was able to give him the name of the man who had checked us in (Hector) & had, for a third time, confirmed the price I'd been told over the phone, he took us inside & very specifically asked him the price in a way that gave the answer he wanted Hector to say - so he could look at us like we'd lied to him. Not cool at all. The pool was a tiny little cement block on the roof. Location was nice, but when you're paying a premium price for Hilton's amenities, the hotel should be better than this.

I WAS loyal to Hilton. I will be moving on to Marriott. The hotel failed to provide a clean room. The shower curtain smelled like feet. All of the dishes were in dishwasher with condensation and a smell. The air conditioning is loud and ineffective. We had to change rooms due to bedroom AC breaking. The desk staff were nice but the hotel is not clean. The revolving exit/entry door was never cleaned the 5 days I was there. The hallways and elevator were filthy. The location is great but this hotel does not meet what I would consider high priced Hilton standards. I would NOT recommend

Because Homewood Suites was the first brand I every booked for a hotel, I played it safe and did the same. The location is perfect, because everything we wanted to try and visit was within a mile from the hotel. Our room was on the 29th floor out of 36? The elevators are split, so you'll have to use one side if you want to go to floors 1 - 13? and the rest for the other floors. The pool's the deepest I have ever seen, it goes from 5-7 feet deep! I was quite excited, but wish there was a shower room or a hose for guests to wash themselves before jumping in. Also, the towels barely wrapped around me. There's no bars or restaurants in the hotel as well. The most exciting part of the hotel was the fact that I could unlock the door using my phone!! It's the first time for me and I took every opportunity to use it, even though connection was spotty most of the time.

The good: - The view from the room was great (corner room #2504) and it had separate living room and bedroom. - Breakfast was included and standard but ended a bit early if you are a tourist (10AM). - Location is good, right on Michigan avenue and 15 min walking distance to the river. I highly recommend the transportation pass (we got 7 day pass at the metro station). We used it a lot for bus and train rides around the city. Very convenient. The bad: - Service was bad - nothing happened on first request, you call for extra towels the receptionist says that it will be there in 15min, but nothing happens, you have to call at least 3 more times to get something (every time) or go get it yourself. - You have to schedule room cleaning 48 hours in advance and even then they don’t do it and you have to argue about it and follow through until it is done. - 3 elevators are not enough for breakfast rush time. - Lobby is very small and unimpressive for such a big hotel. - Design in general is bland and outdated. Shower faucet flew off the first time we wanted to shower, had to wait for plumber.

There is a lot to like about this hotel. The location is excellent. The rooms were nice. Breakfast was appreciated. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We had a room on the 35th floor with an outstanding view. But man, we have to talk about the elevators. It really is frustrating to be excited to get out and go enjoy your day in Chicago and wait 20-40 minutes to get an elevator. One elevator was down during our visit which likely exacerbated the problem, and other than that I really liked it here, but it was bad.

Este é um ótimo lugar para ficar. O espaço era apertado para estacionamento com manobrista e não havia loja própria. Fora isso, gostei da minha estadia. O quarto era espaçoso, o banheiro maior do que qualquer outro lugar que eu já fiquei. O hotel foi bem situado entre lojas e restaurantes e pontos turísticos. Este tem que se tornar meu lugar preferido em Chicago.

This was a great place to stay. Space was tight for valet parking and there was no in house store. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious, the bathroom larger than any other place I've stayed. The hotel was nicely nestled between shopping and dining and sights. This has got to become my go to place in Chicago.

Se você quiser que seu carro seja revistado por manobrista e propriedade roubada, fique neste hotel e estacionamento com manobrista. Nunca fui tão desrespeitado em minha vida. Eu pago $ 66 por noite para o manobrista manter meu carro seguro e eles vasculham meu carro e roubam meus itens e trancam meu carro como se fosse nada. Meu carro não foi arrombado e eles são os únicos que estavam com meu carro. Eu ligo e relato no domingo e a recepção me dá um número de caso e diz para esperar por uma ligação em 3 dias. Claro que não ligou assim quando ligar para a manjedoura, ele me diz que o estacionamento com manobrista está contratado e eles não são responsáveis pelo que roubam. Eu perguntei por que isso não foi dito no domingo e por que me deram um número de caso, ele disse espere, deixe-me descobrir quem lhe deu esse número. Ele volta ao telefone e diz que o gerente de plantão não se lembra de nenhum relato de propriedade roubada no domingo, mas me deram um número de caso. Eu o faço puxar o número do caso, ele diz que não existe. O número do caso que me deram é 93331954. Agora acho que estão todos juntos roubando carros de clientes. Faça um favor a si mesmo e não fique aqui e definitivamente não faça valet park.

While the hotel was nice and I had a beautiful view of the lake, the room was not cleaned for my entire 5-day stay. I had to request trash pickup and extra trash bags and the bags were tossed on the cans outside of my room, not even placed in the bins.I was also charged for parking although the website promised complimentary parking in lieu of free breakfast, as the hotel restaurant remained closed due to COVID.In addition, the AC in the bedroom kept malfunctioning.The repairman couldn't figure out the issue.There are so many other hotels in the vicinity with similar views, I will try another next time I'm in Chicago. I doubt any other would be worse.

If you want your car searched by valet and property stolen, please stay at this hotel and valet park. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I pay $66 a night for valet to have my car in safe keeps and they go through my car and steal my items and lock my car back like it’s nothing. My car was not broken into and they are the only ones who had my car. I call and report it Sunday and the front desk gives me a case number and says to wait for a call in 3 days. Of course no call so when call the manger, he tells me that the valet parking is contracted and they are not responsible for what they steal. I asked why wasn’t this said on Sunday and why was I given a case number, he says hold let me find out who gave you that number. He comes back to the phone and says the manager on duty has no recollection of a report of stolen property from Sunday, but I was give a case number. I have him pull the case number he says it doesn’t exist. The case number I was given is 93331954. Now I just think they are all in it together stealing from patrons cars. Just do yourself a favor and don’t stay here and definitely don’t valet park.

It was a pleasant experience overall. We stayed here 6 nights. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. Location is great and price is reasonable. Parking is the main problem, but you can get a good price parking from Spot Hero app. If your stay is longer and you need to drive more, them make sure to get the in and out privilege while selecting the parking garage. We got our parking at Olympia Center Self Park Garage at 161 E Chicago Ave. Worked great for us.
