Ramada by Wyndham Cedar City

Located at the edge of the Markagunt Plateau, Cedar City is surrounded by 10,000-foot Mountains to the east and a vast desert area to the west. Known as the "gateway" to five breathtaking national parks, Cedar City is a central point to locations such as Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, and Cedar Breaks National Monument. Cedar City has received the nickname, the "Festival City", primarily because it is the home of the world-famous Utah Shakespearean Festival, the recipient of the 2000 Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theater. Not only are the staging and performances strong, the enthusiasm of the players and the host town is contagious and makes the festival come alive.

“The best part was that we could stay with our pet. The rest was just average. Nothing to rave about. Your basic motel room. The staff was the same, just average. That was rather disappointing to see, as the person who checked me in had a trainee shadowing them. I discovered this by asking several probing questions trying to make small talk. The trainee stood absolutely silent watching the trainer, who was also doing the check-in with very little "extra" conversation other than the required. It was a bit awkward. (Maybe they were trying to get through the whole process uninterrupted?) But good news is, nothing to complain about and I will stay here again!!”

“The good aspects were the friendliness of the receptionist and the cleanliness of the room. The bad part was the proximity to the freeway, poor TV reception, a laundry that needed cleaning (someone please check the drier). I was going to stay longer but booked into another Cedar City hotel for about the same price with much nicer amenities.”
