Location:The Catalonia Park Putxet hotel was built in 1975 and renovated in 2001, it is located in the quiet residential area of Putxet, close to Balmes Street and Ronda General Mitre, a very convenient access to any part of Barcelona. In addition, the hotel is located near Guell Park, an emblem of the city and a masterpiece made by Antoni Gaudi. Rooms:Almost all of the hotel rooms have a view, many with a balcony or terrace. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, direct dial telephone, interactive satellite TV with pay-per-view movies, Canal + and a complete marble bathroom with a hair dryer. “It is a nice hotel located close to the city centre in Barcelona. We booked through their official site where the prices are lower.
The hotel is very nice, very recently renovated with newly furnished rooms.
Its advantages are:
1.Value for money (we booked 3 and a half months before our stay at 250€ approximately for 5 nights)
2. Clean and convenient rooms
3. Close to the city centre
4. Friendly staff
5. Complimentary bottle of water every day
6. Private balcony
Its disadvantages are:
1. Really small- tiny pool
2. No cafeteria on the roof garden
3. Expensive breakfast
4. No bed availability (we wanted a room with separate beds but we got a double)
All in all, comparing with other hotels in Barcelona I firmly believe that it is a very good choice.”

“We received a room that did not look like the pictures from their website. We asked for a "double room with a terrace" which is something like a "intermediate" accommodation, not luxurious but not the cheapest either. We were expecting a big place with view over the terrace (like the photos showed). Instead we were placed in a singles room that had a double bed placed against the wall, having only one nightstand. I'll attach some photos. We did not have the energy to fight this choice, since we were very tired from our travel, but next time I'll know to refuse the room if it's nothing like the photos.
Moreover, you can hear everything through the walls, especially noise coming from the hallway and the rooms next to us. In the mornings, there was no chance of sleeping in!
Also, be careful that the price in the reservation is not final. Upon check-in, you are asked to pay a city tax (5%). It's not much, but they should've specified in the reservation the total price to pay. All in all, we paid 420€ for 4 nights. I understand that Barcelona is an expensive city, but you would expect great rooms for such a spicy price.
I gave it 2 stars because the room service was pleasant and the room was kept clean each day.”
