“I will say yes this is an older building and will might turn off some people but I loved staying here. It is locally owned and really sticks to Polynesian culture as best as a hotel can. The staff was very nice and helped make it an experience to stay there. There is also a boat made by the staff on the grounds that you can watch a video about that is such an awesome story attached to it. Not going to lie the video made me tear up. After watching the video about the boat I had to see it. Me and my wife made a trip to the court yard to make sure we saw it while we was there. They also do shows at night and have a lot of fun stuff to do there. I have been to Maui three times and have stayed in three different places and this was by far my favorite place to stay at. Not saying I didn't like those places either because I did. There was just something special about this place that I love. Next trip we take we will for sure stay here.”

“We’ve been here 6 nights. I’m sure it’s the cheapest hotel for this location and there seem to be a lot of repeat customers but it’s pretty dated. Could really use at least new carpet and a paint job but the clincher was no hot water for showers. Happened one time and they said it would be fixed, then happened the next time. I called the desk, my husband took a shower 1/2 hr later and he had hot water. Who knows but I won’t be back here.”
