“Well, as with everything in NY consider traffic hours...when wanting to use the elevator. There are stairs though for those wanting to do a bit of fitness 😁 Consider reception is at level 2 and not ground floor. They were nice enough to accommodate us and extend our checkout. Room was clean and cleaning was done every day unless you decided that cleaning is not needed. Location was just great. Close to everything in Financial district, subway, coffee shops, bagel shops...you name it 😉”

“Good location but the hotel had fundamental problems and I wouldn't stay here again. Staff were great, including the manager who resolved a problem quickly and in a friendly manner. Location was excellent - three minute walk to the ferry, and Whitehall St subway station is just at the end of the street. The room was small, but that's expected for NYC - it was modern and well appointed. Breakfast in the restaurant was good. The problems though: 1. Noise - the window was not well sealed so everything going on outside could be heard clearly. There's also very little internal soundproofing, so your neighbour and their TV can be heard clearly, as can anything happening in the corridor. 2. Elevators. At peak times they were unusable - for example, at 10am we waited 30 minutes and had to let three completely full cars go before eventually taking the stairs from the 21st floor - with a young child. Other times were less of an issue but there was still a wait. 3. Calibre of other guests - the corridor on our floor smelled heavily of cannabis on numerous occasions. On returning to our room one of the times we noticed that housekeeping had opened our window - presumably because the smell had made it into our room. I get the impression that the hotel is used by groups. 4. Drain flies - not sure whether it was just our room but we saw a lot of drain flies around the bathroom, which wasn't exactly welcoming.”
