The 100-year-old Dolce Hayes Mansion renovated and opened to the public in 1994 offers 214 rooms and suites on two floors with free Wi-Fi accessible throughout. Shuttle service to San Jose Airport plus businesses within a five-mile radius of the hotel is offered (a fee may apply) and golfing privileges at a nearby private course are available (fees also may apply). The Dolce Hayes Mansion is located in south San Jose near Highway 85 nine miles from downtown San Jose. It's 11 miles from San Jose International Airport. “The hotel is a historic site and as it it part of the Hilton Curio collection it is decorated to reflect it. The two highlights are it sharing a parking lot with a park where you can run/walk and the water stations scattered through the building. For the room- I would recommend staying in the long addition and there is a underground path to the main building. There is a separate building with rooms above the banquet hall. This building and the rooms felt more outdated. Ps if you can afford the upgrade do the Queens Studio suite. My room had a separate sitting area which was nice for calls and a walk out shared patio. Restaurant wise would recommend for dinner although fairly limited dinner but skip breakfast it very basic and in my opinion not worth the $22.”

No assistance with luggage (the self service cart is up a set of stairs with no way to get it down) so we dragged our luggage from the parking lot across the street. You actually have to request to have your room refreshed, but even then we only got housekeeping 1 out of the 4 days we stayed. And a bit minimalist- two people =two towels, no alarm clock, not even a do not disturb sign. No room service or phone. Very few staff, but they were friendly but quite busy.”

What a hidden gem in San Jose! I live nearby and had no idea this existed. We stayed here with my family (2 toddlers) when we lost power during the storms. It was quiet, luxurious, clean. The staff were incredibly kind to us and our kids and helpful when we needed extra amenities for the kids. There's a well equipped gym, event facilities, gorgeous grounds and a nice restaurant. This was exactly the place we need to relax amongst all the chaos of the storms. Thank you Hayes Mansion team! We will definitely be recommended this to fam and friends who come to visit.

Spectacular! This is a gorgeous property with great staff. We are loyal to the Hilton brand and happy to have found the Hayes Mansion. We declined housekeeping service as we were only staying for three nights. We realized that meant we wouldn’t have enough coffee pods for each day a quick call to the front desk and some was delivered. The place is extremely clean and well kept. Easy parking. Maggie at the front desk was extremely welcoming as we got in late and we’re still greeted with a smile and stories.

This is a very family friendly hotel. Amenities are typical for a nice Hilton. There seemed to be a shortage of towels during our stay. There were 3 adults in our room, but they only gave us 2 sets and it took quite a bit of calling the front desk, housekeeping, etc. to get the towels we needed. Room was very clean and updated. We were in town for a birthday party at Martial Cottle Park, and we think South San Jose is really nice....more in the "country". There are really nice areas for relaxing with a drink in the courtyard area, well lit and propane heaters are available. We would stay again.
