“The hotel does not live up to expectations at all.The interior is the only plus in this hotel.Starting from the service and ending with the rooms.Be prepared for the fact that there is no closet in the room.There is some kind of small box and absolutely nothing can be hung.The ironing board in a five-star hotel falls apart right in your hands, the room is insanely damp, things are condensed on the windows, everything is half-wet after four days.The windows in the room do not open, it is impossible for two people to stay in the hotel. “I stayed for two nights at the Hotel de Berri.We arrived at 10 am just to drop off the bags, knowing that check in was at 3 pm.I had reserved two Prestige suites as a previous call to the hotel had indicated that in order for both rooms to be near each other, these were the room types to book.This information turned to be false, as there is only one Prestige suite per floor.The rooms were not actually available for check in until 6:30 pm.Reception staff and manager were largely unapologetic.I had my 71 year old mother with me and this was a huge inconvenience for them to not have the room ready at 3 pm as guaranteed.This is a three star hotel, not a five star as they advertise.The air conditioning in the room was anemic.There was no air conditioning in the bathrooms at all.The windows did not open and the hotel did not have fans to use in the rooms.The wood floors were filthy with dust and dirt.The vacuum that we witnessed the housekeeper trying to use was clogged and had no suction.The rooms are not as represented on the website.The wait staff in the restaurant could not get orders right in either French or English.The food was the quality of an Applebee’s.When we were preparing to leave, no one asked us how our stay was.The only question asked was, when are you leaving (asked urgently so that they could prepare for the next guest).We had them book our 11 am car and driver for departure, so had they paid the slightest attention, they could have made whatever plans they needed to in the background without pressuring us to hurry up and leave.If you are using Marriott points, then maybe all the inconsistencies of this property might be overlooked for some. But for me, I paid cash and expected to get what they advertised and promised.And this hotel came far from delivering.The staff at this hotel was so incompetent and uncaring that I felt compelled to write a review even though I rarely write reviews. Fiquei duas noites no Hotel de Berri. Chegamos às 10h apenas para deixar as malas, sabendo que o check-in era às 15h. Eu havia reservado duas suítes Prestige, pois uma ligação anterior para o hotel havia indicado que, para que os dois quartos ficassem próximos um do outro, esses eram os tipos de quarto a serem reservados. Não havia ar condicionado nos banheiros. As janelas não abriam e o hotel não tinha ventiladores para usar nos quartos. Os pisos de madeira estavam imundos com poeira e sujeira. O vácuo que testemunhamos a governanta tentando usar estava entupido e não tinha sucção.Os quartos não são como representados no site.A equipe de garçons no restaurante não conseguia fazer pedidos em francês ou inglês. A comida tinha a qualidade de um Applebee's.Quando estávamos nos preparando para sair, ninguém nos perguntou como foi nossa estadia. A única pergunta feita foi, quando você vai sair (pediu com urgência para que eles pudessem se preparar para o próximo hóspede).
