“This is a self-serve property where the owner gets upset if you call them for help. This should be made clear before booking. I had a long text convo with him and he gave me the wrong room. The room didn't open. When I called him he said he can't talk on the phone and wouldn't believe that the door wouldn't open. So I asked for a refund. He then realized the door actually doesn't open when I sent him video proof. So he gave me a new room but I had already left upset because the poor customer service raised red flags in my head. He then repeated no refunds. And he emphasized that he is able to keep prices so low only because he offers no customer service. I think this is silly and he should just hire someone who looks after the house and answers customers' calls because it's a hospitality business. He'll make a lot more money in the long run with satisfied customers.
Anyways, he refused to give me a refund for a night I did not stay at their hotel so I'm leaving this review saying that you should be careful before booking if you expect anything more than almost 0 customer service (he begrudgingly texts back if you have issues but acts like he's doing you a favour). I hope they can smarten up in the future and offer better service.
But as of right now, June 16th, 2022, this was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had booking a room in Toronto. He then tells you not to leave a bad review because you will be hurting small businesses. This was a nightmare for me. If you have insane amounts of patience, maybe your experience will be different.”

“Avoid this dump! Same sketchy operations of a nearby property by the same Asian guy with glasses in a white Lexus SUV with New York plates. Save your money, time and agony…skip this place at all costs. You’ve clearly been warned!”
