I got a room last minute. They were very kind to me. The restaurant is unmatched. The quality of the food is beyond delicious. The kindness of the staff makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere and cleanliness of this place makes you feel like you are in a Royal palace . I just absolutely loved this hotel. And the restaurant. The view from the restaurant is so cool because you're on top of the hotel. Go go go

The hotel is in prime location. You step out of the hotel and you are in busy section of the old downtown. The central market is within 10 minutes walking distance. The room was clean and nicely decorated with mirror and lightning. The included breakfast was nice. The service specially the door man at the lobby was courteous and helpful. However there were two negatives. First expect to pay $28 for parking. Second the TV in the room are not smart TVs. No YouTube, Netflix ... Just Spanish speaking channels and the video quality was really bad.

Good location in the heart of downtown. The 4 star was because of our experience at the hotel restaurant where the waiter tricked us into believing that the 10% service charge added to the bill is mandated by the government, just like the 13% tax. Being oblivious to this, we ended up paying double as tip for the service. The room is nice so are the amenities. Just that the integrity of the restaurant waiter could be improved. We would have paid equally as much for tip if he had been honest to us.

We did not have a good experience here for our last night of 9 night in CR. The room was loud, we literally heard all kinds of sounds through out the hotel. 1 of 2 of our rooms were not ready on check in. The Happy Hour they said was available was not. We sat there for 3 hours since it was raining outside and they didn’t offer us anything or even knock a beer off our bill. We definitely wouldn’t stay here again and wished we would have just gone back to the Marriott near the airport. Much nicer.

Hotel and rooms decoration are simple but well executed. Nice view from the top floor restaurant and especially cool to enjoy the nice breakfast buffet. Unfortunately the area isn't a good to go shopping but really well located to go to the national theater.

I went only for a cup of coffee at the restaurant in a quiet relaxing place, but the experience was so much more. I got the recommendation from the American Express Fine Hotels Collection. I was running an errand close by and I had an hour to kill. So I went to the restaurant at the fifth floor of the hotel, even though I was wearing snickers and a Darth Vader t-shirt, I felt welcome from the very first moment. I sat by the window and I was mesmerized by the view, on one side the National Theatre, one of he crown jewels of Costa Rican architecture, in the other side a wonderful view of the mountains surrounding the Central Valley. The service was great, the attention to detail from the personnel and the welcoming atmosphere couldn't be any better.

I stayed at the hotel for one night and enjoyed the short stay very much. The room was very pretty. The gym is small but has everything you need. The breakfast room is very nice and the food selection is great. The lobby is very fancy and large, it has lots of places to sit. The staff is very friendly.

Great hotel within easy walking distance to most attractions. Hernan, the bell captain, is one of the best in the business! He recommended great restaurants and was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the city. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't have a pool.

We didn't stay here, but just went to the 5th floor bar/restaurant and were blown away! Beautiful hotel with a little store where you can buy snacks, beer and wine. Great fitness room. The panoramic view from the restaurant is so beautiful. The sea bass is the best thing on the menu and the service was perfect. We had a great time!

Ficamos apenas uma noite, mas tivemos uma experiência muito agradável. As medidas da Covid foram levadas a sério, mas não afetaram a experiência. Ao contrário de outros hotéis, não o utilizam como desculpa para não servirem o pequeno-almoço, por exemplo. O café da manhã era ENORME, primeiro pegamos café, suco de laranja, frutas frescas e alguns doces e depois tivemos várias opções de prato principal - foi uma experiência adequada de brunch. Apesar de apenas um andar do hotel acomodar hóspedes, eles também tinham música de piano ao vivo para os poucos hóspedes à noite. Em geral, o hotel é muito bom, moderno, quartos grandes, restaurante / bar incrível no último andar com muita luz natural e belas vistas. O pessoal foi muito educado e atencioso, não consigo pensar em nada negativo para apontar, experiência simplesmente agradável e agradável.

We stayed just one night but had a very pleasant experience. Covid measures were taken seriously but didn't impact the experience. Unlike other hotels they doesn't use it as an excuse not to give breakfast for example. The breakfast was HUGE, first we got coffee orange juice, fresh fruit and some pastry and then we had several options of main dish - it was a proper brunch experience. Despite only one floor of the hotel was accommodating guests, they also had live piano music for the few guests in the evening. In general, the hotel is very nice, modern, big rooms, amazing top floor restaurant/bar with a lot of natural light and nice views. The staff was very polite and attentive, I cannot think of anything negative to point out, simply nice and pleasant experience.

Back in mid-January, my boyfriend and I were staying at the hotel for 2 nights. the hotel was clean, and staffs were friendly. Especially Berny and his amazing front desk/valet team helped us a lot, and made sure our staying were safe and comfortable. (They truly turned our real nightmare into brightness) We appreciate it so much and never forgotten kind caring for us. Thank you Berny and the Team!!!

Primeira vez na Costa Rica, este hotel está muito bem localizado no centro de San José. A configuração é original. Edifício histórico. Renove com bom gosto. Os funcionários são muito acolhedores e alegres. O quarto é muito bonito, confortável, espaçoso e o banheiro magnífico (quero o mesmo). O café da manhã é incrível, produtos frescos, produtos locais e uma grande variedade de jux caseiro e mais a lista continua. Um grande obrigado à equipe (funcionários da sala TOP) Estaremos de volta com muito prazer.

UAU!!! 🤩Estamos muito contentes por ter ficado aqui. Eu acho que é como um deve fazer!O pessoal é tão bom, tão positivo positivo. A comida do restaurante era incrível!Os quartos eram tão limpos, tão modernos em todos os lugares tinham lugares de carregamento tão atenciosos.O chuveiro era o melhor amor o fato de que o banheiro tinha portas separadas. ☺️ A cama era tão confortável que não queríamos acordar e que tal aqueles travesseiros ...Surpreendente....Excelente trabalho Hilton, você provou que valeu a pena o preço.E como designer, OMG, como se eu não parasse de tirar fotos 💁🏻‍♀️☺️☺️

Eu tive uma ótima estadia. O hotel fica no centro da cidade. A localização é ótima para caminhar e explorar San Jose. Está localizado no coração de lojas e restaurantes. A equipe foi muito útil. O buffet de café-da-manhã tinha melhor variedade e opções saudáveis do que encontrei em muitas outras propriedades do Hilton. E o Happy Hour diário era uma comodidade muito agradável. Fui atualizado para uma suíte superior; portanto, minha experiência de serviço não é típica.

What a great way to end our Costa Rica trip. This is one of the most clean and modern hotels we have visited. As an American , we found the price to be affordable. So happy to have such nice amenities and five star customer service after a long backpacking trip. Superb Hilton hotel. Good location. Felt safe and easily walked to delicious restaurants and key tourist attractions downtown.

WOW!!! 🤩 We are so glad we stayed here. I think it is like a must do! The staff is so nice, so helpful positive. The restaurant food was amazing! The rooms were so clean, so modern everywhere had charging places so thoughtful. The shower was the best love the fact the bathroom had separate doors. ☺️ The bed was so comfortable we did not want to wake up and how about those pillows.... Amazing.... Great job Hilton you proved that it was all worth the price. And as a designer OMG like I non stop was taking photos 💁🏻‍♀️☺️☺️

I had a great stay. The hotel is in the center of town. The location is great for walking and exploring San Jose. It's located in the heart of shopping and restaurants. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet had better variety and healthier options than I have found at many other Hilton properties. And the daily Happy Hour was a very nice amenity. I was upgraded to a superior suite, so my service experience my not be typical.

Unfortunately this hotel was a big disappointment on my stay (it was the last day before going back home) in Costa Rica. The view from the Sky Lobby in the 5th floor is nice, I would have better used the 5th floor for rooms with a nice view. The people on the reception desk are friendly and competent so they do a great job. The breakfast compared to all others in Costa Rica in many different locations was really poor. The variety of food was not so big and the quality was not as I would have expected for such a hotel. One main point to improve is the sustainability. Serving water in plastic bottles for breakfast is really not state of the art end of 2019. The service during breakfast and lunch was not the best. We always had to call the people so we were assisted.
